About

The idea, in one line.

Your work should be remembered — by your Mac, not by someone else's server.

Why we built it

We kept losing the thread of our own work. Not the files — those were always somewhere — but the part before the file: the tabs compared, the draft rejected, the half-finished thought that got interrupted and never came back. Connecting an AI assistant to Drive or Gmail didn't fix that, because those tools only ever see what you already decided to save. Everything else — the actual process of the work — was never written down anywhere. So we built something that watches the process itself, on the machine where it happens, and keeps it somewhere only you can see it.

What we believe

  • · Personal software should run on personal hardware.
  • · If a company can't see your data, they can't lose it, sell it, or train on it.
  • · You should be able to walk away with everything, in plain text, whenever you want.
  • · A subscription that always leaves you with something you own is honest. One that locks up the moment you stop paying is not.

The team

A small team, based in Toronto, working mostly on macOS and on-device machine learning. We've spent our careers building software that has to be fast, private, and boringly reliable — the kind of software you forget is even running.

Founder — Engineering

Previously built low-level macOS tooling and on-device ML pipelines. Cares more about what happens when the wifi drops than what happens in the demo.

Founder — Product

Spent years watching people rebuild context they'd already found once. Focused on making the app disappear into the background of real work.
